Objectives

The main objectives of agriculture sector i.e.

• to make the country self-sufficient in food grains and
• to make available raw material for Agro based industries.

These objectives are achieved by the Department through reclamation of culturable waste land, development of sub-surface water sources through sinking of Tube Wells and Solarization of Existing Open Wells/Tube Wells
